Whilst I realise I am a late comer to this product,
I never really appreciated the benefits that the Dryrobe
change robe has.
I always thought it was perfectly acceptable getting
changed in a field when you’re cold and wet with
the wind whistling up places I’d rather not think of.
Attempting to cover yourself in what now seems a
towel far too small for the job is no mean feat.
My pre race hoodie doubled as my post race hoodie,
PLUS the extra coat post race to try and keep the
cold winging its way through my many layers and to
bring my body temperature back up to an acceptable
level is everything I battle with to cope with the cold
post race.
It turns out, all I needed instead was a Dryrobe.
It does it ALL. Including preserve what modesty I
have left whilst I’m getting changed. Result! I was
able to get completely changed from cold and wet
to clean and dry without exposing my body parts
to any unsuspecting onlooker. I thought the inside
would be wet and muddy after wrapping it around
me immediately post race but it just wasn’t. (must be
some science thingy in the fabric they use!)
It also appears to be popular for all those invaluable
volunteers who quite frankly endure all the elements
just to provide us OCR fans with the safety and
assistance and more often than not, the sacred
Haribo that is vital whilst out on course.
With a soft fluffy inner and a lightweight weatherproof
outer, it now appears to be an essential item to any
avid obstacle racers must have kit. It is available in
a range of colours including camo, comes in either
long/short sleeve options, can be custom branded
and has its very own compression sack as an optional
extra. Available in adults and kid’s sizes. It has 2
external pockets and a decent sized inner zipper
pocket as well as an MP3 player pocket. The large
outer zip made it easy for my hypothermic hands to
operate and I can honestly say now...
