I cannot fault this shoe one bit. Admittedly I’ve only had them a month, so I can’t comment on their long-term wear and tear but at this moment in time there are no signs. It took one walking wear to “wear them in” but after that it was run, run, run.
The X-Talon G235 is the latest addition to the graphene family. 200 times stronger than steel, graphene has been infused into the rubber outsole which offers increased durability and uncompromising grip during use.
The colour. They are absolutely unmistakable when you see them. Inov-8 seem to have a “trademark” colour scheme and I can’t wait to see the next “big race” line up, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a sea of their infamous orange. They clean up really well, back to their original colour without looking like a distant shade of what they once were and believe me when I say these have been put to the test well.
The fit. Perfect for me. I went half a size up as I normally do in trail trainers and they are spot on. They have a seamless 1 piece upper providing durability and flexibility. There is support where I need it and enough room in the protective toe box.
The Grip. Exactly that, they grip! Very well! Even with all the wet weather recently I’ve had no slips or falls neither up nor downhill. I am a more confident runner with these on my feet, allowing me to do my thing whilst they do theirs.
Not only do I wear them running but also to my outdoor classes and I really do feel I have the more superior grip over everyone else there. The studs are a whopping 8mm, I’m amazed they still feel so light.
