FOOTWEAR: REVIEW
developed by a group of people who had a
very specific goal in mind
ON launch
Let me explain in more detail.
So, on this particularly beautiful and one of our rare
sunny mornings, a small gathering collected in a
stunning location in Richmond, Surrey. By 9am
there were small groups of us running energetically
(some not so much) through the glorious setting that
is Richmond Park all in our matching guys or girls
Cloudventure trainers.
This actual physical “trial and test” approach is the
best way to honestly experience the product. We can
all comment on how visually appealing something is
but until we actually try it for ourselves you can’t fully
appreciate just how simply brilliant this shoe is.
Award winning, Swiss made and developed by a
group of people who had a very specific goal in
mind, this shoe was made with precise intentions.
Those intentions were to have grip. To touch every
rock, stone, mound or hill using the unique micro

what they set
out to do
So, last month we were lucky enough to be invited to a launch for On.
A very exciting brand that I’m sure will soar to the top of the popularity charts in a very
short amount of time and here’s why.
Have you put together a picture in
your head yet?
Well here it is...
Style
– It has it
in abundance.
Grip
Totally unique.
Cushioning
The clue is in
the name.
(Cloud)
engineered grip-rubber profile that attacks every
surface enabling you to reach your goal in record
time.
With not 1 but 2 extremely light and adaptive layers,
it supports a fast ascent. The interior layer allows for
comfort and support whilst the exterior is breathable
and coated in a durable water repellent for when you
get caught out by the weather man which is probably
more often that not in the UK at the moment.
Multiple styles of cushioning are needed to excel in
descent. Enter the patented CloudTec sole. This sole
has it all. Horizontal and vertical cushioning combine
for firm yet soft landing support and an explosive
take off.
My experience of running though Richmond
Park was one of a very pleasant nature. Although
sunny, it was very damp on the ground and the
grass remained wet with dew. I’ve overcome a few
small injuries recently so I was extremely cautious
about slipping either going up or down hill. These
Cloudventures gripped the slippery slopes with ease
and I ran with confidence. Not once did I feel I had
to slow to ascend or descend and I was in total awe
that the designers had achieved exactly what they set
out to do. The grip, comfort and cute little touches
to the design are ones that don’t go unnoticed. The
range of colours that are available are expanding
more and more. They are colours you don’t normally
see on your average shoe but let’s be honest, this is
NOT your average brand.
Find your venture.
