With athlete dinners happening, where runners and supporters can get together – last year taking place in the majestic marquee, to the festival like atmosphere of the event village. Somehow just a few days at the OCRWC leaves its mark on you, and it’s definitely something you want to relive again and again. Making up the event village are many of the partners of the OCRWC, Obstacle Mud Runner Magazine being one of these. There are tons of opportunities for anyone, no matter your circumstance. How about if you want to run? Unlike the open (which is available to anyone), the four competitive races require qualification, and for this there are 3 options. Elite is for the best of the best, those with their eyes on the top spot. The competition here is the toughest, and it also offers the biggest prize purse. After this there are age group races, but don’t be fooled into thinking these will be easy, racers in every category take their competition just as seriously as the next! Finally, you can race as a “Journeyman”, this category is perfect for the die-hard OCR fans, those who attend 3 or more events over the year. The same criteria applies to each category, with mandatory obstacle completion, so each entry is as valid as the next, but the journey man, happening later in the day does offer the opportunity to take it easier if you so wish.
